The spiritual leaders of their Chapters, Chaplains are awe-inspiring warrior priests who administer rites, preserve rituals and perform ancient ceremonies of initiation, vindications and redemption that are as important to a Space Marine Chapter as its roll of honour or skill at arms. Every Chapter has its own Chaplain, acting as leader in both devotions and combat and second only to the company Captain in rank.

Eyes blazing and fists crackling with roiling energies, Space Marine Librarians stride into battle to destroy their foes. Some hurl blasts of warp-force that crush their victims to paste, while others twist the flow of time itself or revitalise their brothers with incredible dynamism. However they choose to fight, all Librarians are potent psykers, harnessing their potent mutation and a force to defend Humanity.

Lieutenants act as the right hands of their Captains by providing flexibility and helping to direct their battle-brothers in engagements. They are often entrusted with direct battlefield command of a demi-company or strike force – handling squad-level combat logistics and acting as exemplary leaders.

Each company in a Chapter of the Adeptus Astartes falls under the command of a Captain. It is often said that a Space Marine is worth at least ten other soldiers; under the leadership of a Captain, this swells even further, for they coordinate their warriors with deadly precision and inspire their followers to fight with a dedication and spirit that cannot be instilled by training or discipline alone.

Captains are fearless leaders among the Space Marines, each one a masterful tactician and skilled warrior armed with a variety of weapons and equipment. Clad in a suit of heavy Gravis armour, a Captain can fearlessly stride into the very fiercest battlefield firestorms. To don Gravis armour is to demonstrate the greatest determination to crush the enemy, no matter how deeply they are entrenched.

All Space Marines are experts of the rapid strike, but Reivers take these skills to the next level. They are specially trained and equipped to launch brutally effective and unexpected assaults. They do this with a sudden fury and shocking violence, for the Reivers fulfil the role of terror troops that sow fear and confusion amongst their foes.
