After Genghis Khan was proclaimed ruler in 1206, the Mongols invaded large parts of North and Central Asia. Later campaigns under the descendants of Genghis Khan brought the Mongol armies into Europe, but China and the Japanese islands also became targets. The models available here fall into this period.
